Before the Open (Jul 6)

Good morning. Happy Friday. Happy Employment Numbers Day. The Asian/Pacific markets closed mostly down. China moved up 1%; South Korea dropped almost 1%. Europe is currently mostly down, but there are no 1% movers. About 30 minutes before the latest jobs data was released, futures here in the States were down a couple points.

Good morning. Happy Thursday. Hope you enjoyed your day off. The Asian/Pacific markets closed mixed. China (down 1.2%) was the only 1% mover. Europe is currently mostly up. Only Greece (up 1.2%) has moved more than 1% from its unchanged level. Futures here in the States are up slightly.

Good morning. Happy Tuesday. The Asian/Pacific markets closed mostly up. Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore and Taiwan rallied more than 1%. Europe is currently up across the board (except for Greece); Norway is the only 1% winner. Futures here in the States are flat.

Good morning. Happy Thursday. The Asian/Pacific markets closed mixed. Indonesia and China dropped around 1%; Japan rallied 1.7%. Europe is currently mostly down. France, Germany, Stockholm, London and the Czech Republic are down more than 1%. Futures here in the States point towards a moderate gap down open for the cash market.
