\n The Asian\/Pacific<\/strong> markets closed with a lean to the upside. South Korea and Taiwan rallied more than 1%; Thailand, New Zealand and Australia also did well. Hong Kong, India, Indonesia and Philppines were weak. Europe, Africa and the Middle East<\/strong> currently lean to the upside. Poland, Spain, Turkey and thte UAE are up more than 1%; Denmark, Russia and Hungary are also doing well. Greece and Saudi Arabia are down. Futures in the States<\/strong> point towards a slight down open for the cash market. <\/span>
