\n The Asian\/Pacific<\/strong> markets closed mixed. Hong Kong, China and Australia did well; Japan, New Zealand, Taiwan and Thailand were weak. Europe, Africa and the Middle East<\/strong> are mostly down. The UAE is up, but Poland, Turkey, Germany, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Israel, Austria and Sweden are down more than 1%. Futures in the States<\/strong> point towards a relatively big gap down open for the cash market. <\/span>

\n Pegasystems (PEGA -1.87%) fell 6% in after-hours trading after it reported Q3 adjusted EPS of 5 cents, well below consensus of 15 cents.<\/span>
\n Medtronic PLC (MDT -0.26%) rose over 2% in after-hours trading after it reported preliminary Q2 revenue of $7.05 billion, higher than consensus of $6.87 billion.<\/span>
\n Monster Beverage (MNST +0.14%) slid 5% in after-hours trading after it reported Q3 gross profit margin of 62.6%, below consensus of 64.4%.<\/span>
\n Hologic (HOLX +0.10%) dropped 6% in after-hours trading after it forecast Q1 adjusted EPS of 48 cents-50 cents, weaker than consensus of 52 cents, and said it sees full-year adjusted EPS of $2.10 to $2.15, the mid-point below consensus of $2.15.<\/span>
