\n The Asian\/Pacific<\/strong> markets closed mostly up. Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan and Indonesia did well; Japan and the Philippines posted losses. Europe, Africa and the Middle East<\/strong> are currently mostly up. France, Turkey, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Sweden, the Netherlands, Spain and Austria are up more than 1%; Greece and Hungary are down. Futures in the States<\/strong> point towards a relatively big gap up open for the cash market. <\/span>

\n Signet Jewelers (SIG -0.57%) lost 1% in after-hours trading after the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau cited alleged violations by Signet under the Truth in Lending Acts related to in-store credit practices, promotions, and payment protection products.<\/span>
