\n The Asian\/Pacific<\/strong> markets closed mostly up. Japan was weak, but China, South Korea, India and Thailand did well. Europe, Africa and the Middle East<\/strong> are currently mostly up. Denmark is up more than 2%; the UK, Poland, France, Turkey, Germany, Finland, Russia, Switzerland, Norway, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, Austria, Sweden and Saudi Arabia are each up more than 1%. Futures in the States<\/strong> point towards a relatively big gap up open for the cash market. <\/span>

\n Quidel (QDEL +3.27%) holder Jack Schuler boosted his stake in Quidel to 12.9% from 10.04% on Jan 22.<\/span>
\n Arrowhead Pharma (ARWR -1.24%) reported a Q1 loss per share of -18 cents, wider than consensus of -16 cents.<\/span>
