\n The Asian\/Pacific<\/strong> markets closed mixed. China surged 4%; Hong Kong and the Philippines also did well. India, New Zealand, Australia and Malaysia were weak. Europe, Africa and the Middle East<\/strong> currently lean to the upside. The UK, Germany, Russia, Greece, South Africa, Kenya, Israel and Austria are up; Norway and Hungary are down. Futures in the States<\/strong> point towards a moderate gap up open for the cash market. <\/span>
