Happy Friday. Happy Employment Numbers Day. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> The Asian\/Pacific markets closed mixed. India rallied 1.4%; Australia, New Zealand and Singapore also did well. Hong Kong, China and Korea dropped. Europe is currently mixed. Spain is leading the way with a 1.1% gain; Austria, Amsterdam, London, Germany and France are also doing well. Futures here in the States point towards an up open for the cash market (prior to the release of the employment numbers).<!--more--><br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> The dollar is up slightly. Oil is up, copper is down. Gold is flat, silver is down.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> The market exploded yesterday&#8230;well, it exploded relative to the slow, low volume, low volatility movement we&#8217;ve had recently. The Nas and Russell led the way, and the S&amp;P hit a new all-time high for the 7th time in 8 days. My bias remains to the upside.<\/span><br \/>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/leavittbrothers.com\/blog\/i\/nasrut060614.png\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> Here are the employment numbers\u2026<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> unemployment rate: 6.3% (was 6.3% last month)<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> nonfarm payrolls: +217K<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> private payrolls:<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> average workweek: unchanged 34.5 hours<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> hourly wages: up 0.2% cent to $24.38<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> labor participation rate drops to 62.8% (unchanged)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> On the news the S&amp;P futures moved up a couple points&#8230;not a big reaction.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> There has been lots of technical improvement. Unless something unexpected happens, the trend should continue. Don&#8217;t fight it. We&#8217;ve had lots of <a href=\"http:\/\/leavittbrothers.com\/blog\/index.php\/2014\/06\/05\/the-leavitt-brothers-trading-list-2\/\">great trades<\/a> lately.
