The Asian/Pacific markets closed mostly up. Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Italy, Taiwan, Singapore and the Philippines did very well; New Zealand and Australia were weak. Europe, Africa and the Middle East are currently mostly up. Denmark, France, Turkey, Germany, South Africa, Norway, Spain and Italy are up the most; Poland and Russia are down. Futures in the States point towards a big gap up open for the cash market.
