The Asian/Pacific markets closed mostly up. China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore and Thailand closed up; Japan closed down. Europe, Africa and the Middle East are currently posting solid gains. Denmark, Poland, France, Germany, the UAE, Russia, Finland, Switzerland, Norway, the Netherlands, Italy, Portugal, Austria and Sweden are leading. Futures in the States point towards a moderate gap up open for the cash market.
