Before the Open (Mar 21)

Good morning. Happy Monday.
The Asian/Pacific markets closed mostly up – there were a few 1% winners. Europe is currently up across-the-board. Every index is up at least 1%. Futures here in the States are up huge – well above Friday’s high and not far from the Mar 10 close (the day before the earthquake).

I usually don’t have much to say on Monday mornings given that I write a fairly detailed report over the weekend, and today is no exception. And this is a good thing because I’m tired. I was up numerous times during the night trying to get info about the fire that’s burning in the mountains just west of me. The subdivision across the street from me was warned yesterday evacuations can come at any time. I went to sleep last night with the smell of campfire in the air and a slight orange glow over the ridge across the street. Needless to say the DD I did had nothing to do with the market. Instead we planned what we’d do if we got a reverse 911 call or a bang on our door in the middle of the night telling us to get out. Very odd feeling. I’ve seen this stuff on the news but have never been in harm’s way.
It’s supposed to be warm today with winds upwards of 30 mph – exactly what we don’t want. So even though I’m here now, I could be headed out at any time. More after the open when I get a little organized.

The market wants to square the OE trades, Tuesday is time enough to plan a trade entry.
Watch oil, there are huge number of contracts, more than be delivered, does that mean some selling. One would think so.
If this is to be the start of the ujp into June rally, sell bonds, and I will go long big.
