There were positive earnings reports this morning from Hasbro (HAS +0.91%) of 0.53, Halliburton (HAL -2.20%) of 0.23, VF Corp (VFC +1.63%) of 0.28, Illinois Tool Works (ITW +0.12%) of 1.66, and Lennox (LII -0.09%) of +2.83. Manpower (MAN -0.18%) reported disappointing earnings of 1.02 vs expectations of 1.17.
WebMD (WBMD -0.11%) agreed to be purchased by buyout firm KKR for $2.8 billion.
Radius Health (RDUS -0.28%) announced that the European regulator, the Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use’s (CHMP), has requested additional data related to Radius Health’s marketing application for its osteoporosis medicine Eladyno. The drug was approved in the U.S. in April under the brand name Tymlos and if approved by the CHMP, would be the first commercially available anabolic in Europe in 14-years.
TerraForm Power (TERP unch) reported Q4 adjusted Ebitda of $112 million, below consensus of $118.7 million.
Trustco Bank NY (TRST -1.29%) reported Q2 net income of $12.2 million, up +17.0% y/y.
