The Asian/Pacific markets closed mostly up. Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea, India, Taiwan and Indonesia each rallied more than 1%; the Philippines were weak. Europe, Africa and the Middle East are currently mixed and little changed. Turkey, South Africa and Finland are up; Denmark, the UAE, Kenya and Saudi Arabia are down. Futures in the States point towards a positive open for the cash market.
