Good morning. Happy Wednesday. Happy Fed Day. The Asian/Pacific markets closed mostly up. Japan led the way with a 1.8% gain. Europe is currently mostly down thanks to a profit warning from Philips. Futures here in the States suggest a slightly down open for the cash market.

Good morning. Happy Tuesday. The Asian/Pacific markets closed mostly up; there were several 1% winners. Europe is currently up across the board; a few 1% winners there too. Futures here in the States point towards a moderate gap up open for the cash market.

Good morning. Happy Friday. The Asian/Pacific markets closed mostly down, but only Hong Kong lost more than 1%. Europe is currently posting solid, across-the-board gains. Futures here in the States point towards a big gap up for the cash market.

Good morning. Happy Thursday. The Asian/Pacific markets closed with stiff across-the-board losses. Europe is currently suffering the same. Futures here in the States point towards a moderate gap down open for the cash market which will open the S&P below yesterday’s low.

Good morning. Happy Wednesday. The Asian/Pacific markets closed mixed – there were no 1% movers. Europe is currently mostly down – there are no 1% losers. Futures here in the States point towards a gap down open for the cash market that will open the indexes near yesterday’s LOD and opening level.

Europe is currently up across the board – Austria, Germany and Stockholm are up more than 1%. Futures here in the States point towards a large gap up open for the cash market
